The Top 6 Excuses For NOT Having Your Own Boudoir Experience

I'm constantly surprised when I speak to the women about their boudoir sessions and how long it took them to finally book their appointment. They tell me that they spend months working up the courage to book their appointment, or talking themselves out of it. I hear the same reasons each time and they boil down to these six things...

1. "I have to lose some weight first."

Sadly we live in a world where we feel like we need to lose weight to look good, but that is SO FAR from the truth. Part of what we aim to show you in your experience is that your weight literally does not matter. Big or small, tall or short. No matter your size you are gorgeous, babe! You are not alone, this is the most common reason we hear. We truly believe that every woman is beautiful just the way she is now. Part of our job is to show you just how stunning you are! We help you pose from head to toe and hype you up the entire session. We make it hard to feel anything other than a supermodel.

2. "I don't have anything to wear."

No problem! We have a client closet of varying sizes for your session. Boudoir is so versatile. You can come for a session in a big t- shirt or a full on lingerie get up. In my previous blog post I talked about lingerie and how much I love bodysuits. We tell clients to bring whatever they think will work and we can narrow it down at your session. In our past sessions we have seen matching lingerie sets, mis-match bra and pantie sets, crop top and panties, robes, bathing suit sets, just the sheets, and even nothing!

3. "I don't want my pictures on the internet."

We will NEVER EVER share your images without consent from you, it is illegal for us to do so. All the women seen on our website and social media pages have all legally given us consent to share by way of a model release form to display their images. They do so in hopes to show other women the amazing benefits of having a session and to push outside comfort zones. Every time a women chooses to share her images its another woman reading it and thinking, if she can do it I can do it! Not to mention if you share in our VIP group these women will hype you up like you've never seen! Just know, you have a choice in sharing or keeping them all to yourself.

4. "I have no idea how to do my hair and makeup."

We have a professional hair and makeup artist on staff to take care of all of that for you :) Don't worry. I'm not good at all that either, but it's so fun to be dolled all up for a session.

5. "I'm just too nervous.."

The hardest part is getting the courage to just book it, From there it's easy! We help you prepare mentally and physically. We send you a Before Your Experience guide and answer any extra questions you have without judgement. We help you with outfits, hair and makeup, and posing you at the session. All you have to do is show up and have fun letting us be your personal hype women. There are very few women that do not get nerves when coming in for their own session. Part of the experience is pushing out of your comfort zone and leaving knowing that you concurred that fear head on!

6. "I have no one to give my photos to."

Isn't it about time you treat yourself? This experience all about YOU. Sure its amazing to see the look on family or friends faces when showing off your images, but the best part is showing yourself how amazing you are. Often times we lose ourselves. Our daily lives and the people in them can sometimes become more important than ourselves. We need to take the time to treat ourselves. In our VIP group we talk about self love a ton. Whether its a bubble bath or a boudoir experience. Take some time to do something JUST for you.

The point is, there will always be an excuse. Our fear and self-doubt can come up with endless reasons to not do anything outside your comfort zone. It's a biological response to anything we think is "scary". It's up to you to choose if you're going to be more loyal to your fears, or to yourself.
